We’ve got to admit we’re feeling kind of proud of ourselves right now. Not only did we just turn 30, and win big at the Travel + Leisure 2017 A List Awards, but we’re happy to announce we’ve scooped up another award! This one a silver for “Introducing ATJ” at the Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for our rebrand and new website.
We decided to give our website a 360 degree makeover to celebrate our 30th birthday and hired Funnel Design Group to create something that mimicked our handcrafted approach to travel. We wanted a more visual, user-friendly site for booking small group Asia trips or custom tours, so we streamlined our navigation and developed a “destination generator” that randomly selects a destination to help spark inspiration for your next travel adventure to Asia and the South Pacific . We also put an emphasis on highlighting the real people behind our brand, and made a point to showcase the adventure travel stories of our experienced travel experts, which we think are pretty notable, and were thrilled that Travel Weekly did too.
So while we’re patting ourselves on the back this month (we promise, its back to planning advice next month), we have to say we’re proud of our continuous growth and ability to evolve with the constantly changing market. In an age of online bookings, we’ve managed to sustain business for three decades by adapting to travel trends, offering tours that have evolved over the years and most interestingly, being acquired by long term-employees to create what is today ATJ. Which is where the rebrand comes in. It’s all just part of our continuous evolution, which has led us from humble beginnings as Bolder Adventures back in 1987 with a staff of just 3 to a 26-person office today that plans travel for more than 2,000 clients per year, creates more than 400 custom travel itineraries and hosts more than 90 private and scheduled groups travelers annually.
