BULIAN VILLAGE NEEDS OUR HELP

Dear Fellow Travelers, We have urgent news from Bali, Indonesia, that requires our attention. Our dear friend Komang Wardiapa and the community in Bulian Village need our support. A tragic fire has destroyed three sacred shrines, each dedicated to the spirit of an ancient Balinese king. These shrines hold immense cultural and traditional significance for the village; we ask that we come together to help them rebuild. Many of us have been fortunate enough to experience the beauty of Bulian Village, creating unforgettable memories with Komang and the local families while immersing ourselves in the rich Balinese customs. The kindness and warmth of the villagers have left a profound impact on all ofus. Now is the time for us to reciprocate and stand in solidarity with them during this challenging period.

The village is committed to restoring the shrines, but they cannot do it alone. Reconstruction involves consulting with temple construction experts, sourcing materials, and other efforts regarding design and spiritual requirements unique to Balinese culture. While the community actively fundraises, our support will make a significant difference. In addition to the shrine’s devastation, the village is also working to repair a damaged water pipe and assisting families suffering recent losses. We aim to raise $50,000 and are thrilled to share that the ATJ Foundation will match the first $25,000 in donations. This cause holds a special place in our hearts, and we are dedicated to standing by Bulian Village as they endeavor to rebuild. Komang and the community have shared so much with us; now it’s our turn to demonstrate our unwavering support. Please join us by donating any amount you can. ATJ will cover all administrative and wire transfer fees, ensuring that every cent you donate directly benefits the village. Komang will keep us informed about the progress of the rebuilding efforts. You can make your tax-deductible contribution at ATJ Foundation Thank you for your compassion and support.
